AS I LAY DYING a lansat videoclip nou „The Cave We Fear to Enter”.

AS I LAY DYING este o trupă americană de metalcore, Christian metal, death metal și thrash metal din San Diego, California. A fost formată în 2000 de vocalistul Tim Lambesis.

Trupa a lansat șapte albume, un split album și două albume compilație.

Ei au fost influențați de In Flames, Living Sacrifice, Iron Maiden, Slayer, At the Gates, Pantera, Megadeth, Cannibal Corpse, Thin Lizzy, Judas Priest, Metallica și Earth Crisis.

Trupa a intrat într-o pauză nedeterminată în 2014, când Lambesis a fost condamnat la șase ani de închisoare pentru solicitarea uciderii soției sale. Formația s-a reunit în 2018 și a suferit multe schimbări de componență de atunci.

AS I LAY DYING s-a întors în forță cu un single nou.Trupa a lansat noul single „The Cave We Fear To Enter”, inspirat de o idee a basistului Ryan Neff.

Tim Lambesis, vocalistul și liderul trupei AS I LAY DYING a declarat: „Este prima dată când scriu versurile unei melodii bazate pe o idee venită de la altcineva din trupă. Uneori, când încercăm diferite melodii, vom folosi temporar cuvinte care se potrivesc ca substituent. Când am preluat melodia de la Ryan și am adăugat versurile mele, mi-a venit în minte imaginea unei peșteri în care fiecare din noi își confruntă fricile.”

Chitaristul Phil Sgrosso a adăugat: „The Cave We Fear To Enter” poate fi una dintre cele mai aventuroase cântece ale noastre de până acum. Ne-a plăcut foarte mult să colaborăm cu Tom Flynn la videoclipul care combină poveștile melodiilor „Burden” și „The Cave We Fear to Enter”. Am continuat călătoria personajului prin noi medii și circumstanțe. A fost foarte distractiv să ne asumăm riscuri creative pentru a spune această poveste vizual, alături de natura sumbră și înălțătoare a cântecului.”
