Biografie

Killswitch Engage este o trupă americană de metalcore din Westfield, Massachusetts, formată în 1999 după desființarea formațiilor Overcast și Aftershock.

Au cântat la festivaluri precum Soundwave Festival, Wacken Open Air, Reading și Leeds Festivals, Ozzfest, Download Festival, Rock on the Range, Rock am Ring, Mayhem Festival, Monsters of Rock, Pointfest, Knotfest și Heavy MTL.

Trupa a vândut peste patru milioane de discuri în SUA și este considerată ca una din cele mai importante trupe din noul val de heavy metal american.

Stilul muzical al lui Killswitch Engage a fost descris ca un amestec de hardcore britanic și death metal suedez, mai exact, metalcore melodic.

Album Nou

„Forever Aligned” este primul single de pe viitorul lor album „This Consequence”.

Albumul va fi lansat pe 21 februarie prin Metal Blad și conține 10 piese noi.

Jesse Leach, vocalistul formației a declarat despre album: „Acest viitor album este la fel de mult despre toată lumea din jur și despre poveștile lor, cât este despre călătoria mea personală în viată. Din punct de vedere sonor, îmi place că toți membrii formației au contribuit la acest album. Am colaborat mai mult decât am făcut-o pe celelalte albume ale noastre. Știu ca nu aș schimba nimic la acest album. Cred că este exact albumul pe care trebuia să-l facem în acest moment al existenței trupei. Sunt onorat și mândru de ceea ce am putut cu toții să creăm prin această muzică și prin mesajul transmis.”
