MAXIMUM ROCK FESTIVAL returns in 2013 with an INDOOR edition which will take place on the 25th and 26th of October, at Turbohalle, Bucharest.
In the two days of the event, both Romanian and foreign bands will take to the stage.
Apart from concerts, there will also be other activities, like a fair with rock products, from which the participants will be able to buy T-shirts, magazines and other accessories.
After MY DYING BRIDE, THE 69 EYES, ATROCITY, LEAVES’ EYES, a new band confirmed for MAXIMUM ROCK FESTIVAL 2013 is EVILE. The band will perform for the first time in Bucharest on October the 25th 2013.
“Evile has on its shoulders the entire burden of revolutionizing thrash-metal and is one of the most significant young bands in the genre” confessed “Kerrang Magazine” in 2007, after the release of “Enter the Grave”.
Truly, the guys from EVILE have that “je ne sais quoi” element which makes them special. Musical prowess, combined with great compositions and a harsh, but melodic sound define the sonic identity of the Huddersfield band.
Evile was founded in 2004 by Matt Drake (vocals, guitar), Ben Carter (drums), Ol Drake (guitar) and Mike Alexander (bass). Initially, the project started as a Metallica cover band, but gave up this pursuit in favor of an original approach.
Evile was supposed to be named Exile, but the guys saw that there were many bands with the same name, so they changed the “x” with a “v” and got “Evile”.
The band’s first album, “Enter the Grave”, received only positive reviews and blew away the younger fans within the thrash-metal genre. Everyone was smitten by this new, brave group to emerge from a small town in England.
In 2009, shortly after the release of the group’s sophomore album “Infected Nations”, bassist Mike Alexander tragically passes away due to lung failure and the band mourns its loss. Alexander was replaced with Joel Graham and Evile went on to make to new conquests.
Two more records follow: “Five Serpent’s Teeth” in 2011, and “Skull”, released May 2013. The last album is the perfect opportunity for the band to tour the world and reach Romania!
Evile will perform for the first time in Bucharest on October the 25th 2013.
