Biografie

The Black Dahlia Murder este o trupă americană de death metal melodic din Waterford, Michigan, formată în 2001. Numele lor este derivat din cazul nerezolvat de ucidere din 1947 a lui Elizabeth Short, adesea denumită Black Dahlia.

Formația a suferit multe schimbari de line-up de-a lungul timpului.

Stilul muzical al formației este catalogat ca death metal melodic sau pur și simplu death metal.

Au fost influențați de trupe precum Carcass, At the Gates, Darkane, Dissection, Darkthrone, Morbid Angel, The Haunted, In Flames, Dimension Zero, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, Pantera și Megadeth. Vocalistul Trevor Strnad a declarat de mai multe ori că a fost influențat în primul rând de formația Carcass.

Videoclip Nou

Black Dahlia Murder s-au alăturat distracției de Halloween cu un nou videoclip „Utopia Black”.

Videoclipul a fost regizat de Robbie Tassaro, în timp ce single-ul provine din ultimul album al formației, „Servitude”.

„Albumul „Servitude” marchează începutul unei noi ere a formației”, a declarat Ellis. „Brian a preluat acum conducerea formației. Personalitatea sa ca textier și vocal inspirat strălucește. Revenirea lui Ryan Knight în trupă adaugă un al treilea chitarist în formație. Toate aceste schimbări ne oferă o noua putere creativă”.

Va reamintim că fostul vocal si fondator al formației, Trevor Strnad, s-a sinucis la vârsta de 41 de ani, în mai 2022.
