MAXIMUM ROCK FESTIVAL returns in 2013 with an INDOOR edition which will take place on the 25th and 26th of October, at Turbohalle, Bucharest.
In the two days of the event, both Romanian and foreign bands will take to the stage.
Apart from concerts, there will also be other activities, like a fair with rock products, from which the participants will be able to buy T-shirts, magazines and other accessories.
The first band confirmed for MAXIMUM ROCK FESTIVAL 2013 is THE 69 EYES. The band will perform for the first time in Romania on October the 26th 2013.

The dark romanticism of the far North was strolling melancholically down the streets of music when it bumped into the raw power of high-class rock’n’roll. These two became one and gave birth to on the most fascinating band, namely THE 69 EYES.

The self-proclaimed Helsinki Vampires managed to create a truly original musical concept, by merging the Goth-Rock movement, represented by the likes of The Cure, Sisters of Mercy, The Cult and The Mission UK with references to artists like Elvis Presley, Billy Idol and The Doors.

Thus, the Finnish lords of the eerie unleashed a monster which bares the name „Goth’n’Roll” and is the favorite pet of both Goths and rockers alike. The 69 Eyes was formed in 1989, in Helsinki, Finland, by Jyrki 69, Archzie, Timo-Timo, Lotto and Bazie. Not much time shall pass until the band will receive so much praise that it will be forced out of its “Nosferatian” anonymity.

In 1992, Lotto was replaced by Jussi 69, the charismatic and perfect-bodied drummer. Ever since, the band has had the same line-up.

Of the 10 records released by the group, neither will pass unnoticed. Each has sold either gold or platinum and has become a commercial success. Aside from the studio albums, the gang has also put out 5 live materials/compilation albums, and 9 vinyls.

2012 marks the release of the band’s 10th studio album, called „X”, another success which will receive positive and flamboyant reviews. The album features an unusual collaboration with the famous tattoo artist Kat Von D, who lent her voice to the Goth rock masterminds on the track „Rosary Blue”.

Since the release, the band has been busy touring, but these Helsinki Vampires could not refrain from visiting their patron-anti-saint’s (Dracula) dwelling place, namely Romania.
